No more excuses. Lets fix our roads..png

We are 30 years behind schedule.  For too long, the families of James Island, Johns Island, and Folly Beach have been forced to treat their daily commutes as a test of endurance.

We sit in chronic gridlock on Folly Road and Maybank Highway while career politicians in Columbia prioritize destructive, outdated projects over our actual safety and quality of life.

Currently, South Carolina DOT maintains 42,000 miles of roads.  Imagine having to maintain Interstate 40 from NC to California over 16 times.  That’s 42,000 miles. That is impossible and we feel it every day.   The result? Our local secondary roads are often neglected or used as "storage facilities for excess water" instead of reliable arteries for our community.

After six years of our current representation being "locked out of the process" in Columbia, District 115 is suffering from a "no voice, no vote" reality that has left our infrastructure in a state of "disappointing" disrepair.

We need more than intentions; we need proven outcomes. This petition demands that our tax dollars stay where they are collected—right here in the Lowcountry—to fund common-sense fixes and competitive bidding. It is time to stop the waste and return control to the people who actually drive these roads every day.

"No more excuses. The South Carolina Department of Transport (SCDoT) has failed.

We call on South Carolina's leaders to return control of roads to the local community and ensure that 100% of local infrastructure taxes are spent on fixing our actual commutes."
